Use a soft cloth to wipe the outside of the bag with a quality leather cleaning solution and leave it in a shaded area to air dry. Although you should only wash leather when it’s really dirty, you can use castile soap and water or a specially-formulated leather soap to deep-clean your leather items. Mix a small amount of the soap into a bowl of distilled water, then dip a soft, lint-free cloth in the cleaning solution. Wipe the leather with the cloth, following the grain of the leather as you clean it. Rub using a light, circular motion to remove caked-on dirt or a tough stain. Use a clean, damp rag to remove any soap film and remaining dirt from your leather, then let the item air dry.
